Using display properties to determine the graphics controller

Complete the following steps to identify your graphics controller using the Windows* Display Properties.

Windows 7*:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Screen resolution.
  2. Click Advanced Settings.
    The graphics controller identifier is displayed in the Adapter Type section of the Adapter tab.

Windows Vista*:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize.
  2. Click Display Settings.
  3. Click Advanced Settings.
    The graphics controller identifier is displayed on the top section of the Adapter tab.

Windows NT 4.0*:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Display Type.
  4. The graphics controller identifier is displayed in the Display Type box.

For all other versions of Windows*:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Click the Adapter tab.
    The graphics controller is listed in the Adapter Type section.
