What are Intel’s plan to deliver Intel® graphics drivers for the Microsoft Windows 7* operating system? Supporting the integrated graphics controller of the Intel® 945, 965, 3 and 4 Series Express Chipset families, Intel graphics drivers for the Windows 7 operating system (OS) are available now via the Intel Download Center. Many computer manufacturers may make drivers tailored for their product offerings available for download from their web site or through the Microsoft Windows Update service. Additionally, drivers supporting the integrated graphics controller of the Intel 945, 965, 3, and 4 Series Express Chipset families will be available on the Windows 7 OS retail installation disc; however Intel recommends downloading the latest graphics driver available for your computer.

Where can I download Intel® graphics drivers that support the Microsoft Windows 7* operating system? To avoid potential installation incompatibilities, Intel recommends checking with your computer manufacturer whether Windows 7 is a supported operating system (OS) for your computer system and whether a driver update is available for download. Some computer manufacturers require drivers that they customized and validated for your specific computer model.
Starting with the Intel® 945 Express Chipset families, Intel makes available generic versions of the Intel graphics driver for Windows 7 OS. If you choose not to use your computer manufacturer's validated driver and want to install the Intel generic driver, these generic drivers are available from the Intel Download Center. However, if you encounter a problem with using the generic driver, Intel recommends reinstalling and using the validated driver from your computer manufacturer.
If you have the older Intel® 810, 815, 845, 852, 855, or 865 Chipset or Intel® 910 or 915 Express Chipset, Windows 7 OS drivers are not available. However, your integrated graphics controller may support Windows 7 OS by using XPDM drivers.
