I know I have an Intel device but the Intel® Driver Update Utility does not recognize it?
Intel provides generic versions of software and drivers. If your computer manufacturer altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes the Intel Driver Update Utility may not recognize the device.

Graphics Driver
The Utility supports Intel® integrated graphics controllers for desktop and laptop computers. If you have an Internet Device using the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 500, go to Download Center for drivers. For all other graphics controllers, contact your computer manufacturer or place of purchase for drivers or support.
Audio Driver for Intel® Desktop Board
The Utility only recognizes audio devices for Intel® Desktop Boards purchased through a retailer. Intel also sells desktop boards to computer manufacturers who may customize the audio drivers. The audio drivers for these products are supported by the computer manufacturer.

Wireless Networking
The Utility only supports active Intel® wireless products.
Discontinued products will not be detected. Contact your
computer manufacturer or place of purchase for drivers or support regarding non-Intel products.
Additionally, the Utility does not currently support detection of the WiMAX component of Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 and Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150 products. Please
manually download and install WiMAX software, which also automatically installs the driver. See

Wired Networking
The Utility only supports Intel® Ethernet network add-in adapters and Intel® Desktop Boards with integrated Network Connections purchased through a retailer. Intel also sells these products to computer manufacturers who may customize the driver. The network drivers for these products are supported by the
computer manufacturer.
Identifying, downloading and installing generic drivers
If you want to update your computer with the generic Intel driver, first identify your Intel product.
Next, go to
Intel® Download Center and download the driver.

Are you having trouble running the Intel® Driver Update Utility?
The Intel® Driver Update Utility supports Internet Explorer*, Firefox*, and Netscape* browsers. Use the following tips if you are having trouble running the utility on one of the supported browsers.
Microsoft Internet Explorer*
- Download the ActiveX*/Java* installer to install the ActiveX/Java component manually.
- Click Run.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. When the installation is complete, the progress bar and installation box will disappear.
- Click Close to exit this dialog box.
- Click Check your system for the latest updates to run the Intel® Driver Update Utility again.
Mozilla Firefox*
- Make sure you have the latest version of Java* installed.
- Click Check your system for the latest updates to run the Intel® Driver Update Utility again.
Netscape*

Are you looking for driver updates for a computer with an Intel Inside® Logo?
Even if your computer has an Intel Inside® Logo on it, the utility may not find any relevant driver updates. The Intel Inside sticker on your system identifies that your computer has an Intel CPU inside. However, other components may be manufactured and supported by other companies.
